Ride-height and suspension diagnosis
Air suspension faults can result from leaking air springs, lines, valve blocks, compressors, height sensors or electrical controls. A vehicle sagging after parking may have an air leak; a vehicle unable to rise may have a compressor or control problem. Measure individual corner heights before and after parking, review pressure and sensor data, and leak-test the correct circuits. AIRMATIC and Active Body Control are not interchangeable systems and require different procedures.
Repair decisions and verification
Confirm ride-height calibration, compressor duty cycle and stable vehicle height after an extended parked period.
A GLE that lowers after parking or cannot raise may have a leak, valve, height-sensor or compressor concern on equipped vehicles.
How the problem should be evaluated
Check parked height, pressure retention and electrical supply, and inspect pneumatic components before condemning the compressor.
Why the model and engine matter: Not all GLE variants have the same suspension or 48-volt equipment.
